Secure space guide
This app has one encrypted album. On first use, set a password or cancel to enter an empty album. If you tap Add without a password, finish setting one to continue to import selection. Once a password exists, unlock the album before viewing its contents. It locks again when you leave the app.
Importing
Tap “Add photos / videos”. Set or enter your password if asked. Only then does the app open the device library for you to select imports and request photo access if needed. Choose files and confirm. The app copies, encrypts and verifies them, then asks whether to delete the device originals. Failed copies are never offered for original deletion.
Keeping originals means they remain visible in the device gallery. After deleting originals, check Recently Deleted, iCloud or other cloud galleries, and copies on other devices yourself. Secure Gallery cannot clear those locations for you.
Live Photos and special formats
Only the still image of a Live Photo is currently imported. The device original is kept so its motion component is not lost. Playback depends on codecs supported by your device. iCloud originals may need an internet connection to download.
Browsing and organizing
Pinch the grid to switch between 2–6 columns, or use the grid button. Tap a photo to view it full-screen and pinch to zoom. Swipe left or right to change files. Videos support play, pause, scrubbing and mute.
Exporting and backups
Tap export in a viewer for a protected file to save a verified copy to the device gallery. The exported file becomes visible in the device gallery, while the protected copy remains. Export important files and confirm that they open before uninstalling the app or changing devices.
Passwords and data safety
New passwords must be 4–6 characters; letters, numbers and symbols are allowed. Previously set longer passwords still work for unlocking. To switch to a 4–6 character password, unlock the album and change it in Settings. Passwords cannot be recovered. Repeated incorrect entries trigger a waiting period. Uninstalling the app deletes secure-space content. This version has no cloud sync or cloud backup.
Platform limits
Android restricts system screenshots and recording on secure-space screens. iOS hides secure-space content in the app switcher and when screen recording or mirroring is detected, but cannot prevent a single system screenshot. The app cannot protect a rooted or jailbroken device, or prevent someone using an already unlocked screen.
